A U.S. Army National Guard veteran with a deployment to Djibouti, he studied Forestry with a focus on Natural Resource Management at Southern Illinois University. Now a Conservation Police Officer for the State of Illinois, Doran also founded Prairie State Forestry to help landowners restore native habitats, improve timber value, and enhance wildlife and recreation. His Christian faith drives his commitment to service and environmental stewardship.

“My mission is to help landowners restore their properties to their native environments, enhancing marketable timber value, wildlife habitats, and recreational opportunities.”

Garrett Dixon

Garrett is a Monticello, Illinois native who was raised on a forest preserve, sparking his early passion for the outdoors. Over the past six years, he has gained hands-on experience in forestry restoration and earned a bachelor's degree in Forestry with a specialization in Wildlife Habitat Management. With a strong foundation in both fieldwork and education, Garrett is dedicated to helping landowners reach their timber management and conservation goals.

"Growing up on a forest preserve taught me the value of stewardship early on. Now, with years of experience and a degree in forestry, I’m committed to helping others care for and improve the land they love."
